Attorney Jose Albino Sanchez has served a lifetime of commitment to justice and underrepresented communities for over 38 years as a criminal defense attorney, state judge, and federal court judge in Massachusetts. He currently practices law as a criminal defense attorney providing criminal and civil representation in district, superior, and probate court, including all major felony cases.
Attorney Sánchez was born in New York City’s Spanish Harlem, attended the New York City Public Schools, and graduated from Fordham University’s College at Lincoln Center, majoring in sociology with a minor in world history and is also graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. He served as a community activist in the South Bronx, workers compensation claims examiner, prison advocate, paralegal, air traffic controller, labor activist, criminal defense attorney, and served for over 38 years as a state and federal judge.
For over 30 years, he has presided over thousands of care and protection cases, delinquency, youthful offender, and district court cases. In addition, he has lectured at numerous conferences throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe concerning issues of domestic violence, immigration, child protection, trial advocacy, and trial practice.
